The Nigerian Ports Authority said it is willing and ready to partner the Government of Finland in her quest to develop the country’s seaports thereby making them competitive globally.
NPA Managing Director Mohammed Bello-Koko, said this when he played host to the Ambassador of Finland to Nigeria, Her Excellency, Ms. Leena Pylvanainen, who was on a working visit to the NPA headquarters in Lagos.
In her opening remark, the ambassador of Ports Development said she was in NPA to further seek the deepening of the already existing relationship between Nigeria and the Finlands.
“You may recall that the NPA MD, whose appointment was recently confirmed by President Muhammadu Buhari, had assured that the management under his watch would pay specific attention to automating the port processes in order to make the Nigeria seaports more efficient and globally competitive”.
