The president of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarder (NAGAFF), Chief Tochukwu Emmanuel Ezisi has promised to initiate an insurance and health care scheme for all memebers also pledged to run an all inclusive tenure.
Chief Ezisi made the promises during his Inauguration as the 6th National president of NAGAFF., asked for the cooperation and understanding of all in order to achieve the objectives of the association.
The inauguration which took place on Monday at the Rock View Hotel, Apapa Lagos, witnessed a well decorated hall filled with stakeholders and dignitaries from all works of life.
In his speech, the Board Of Trustees (BOT) Chairman, Mr. Chidiebere Enelamah thanked the founder of NAGAFF , Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam for his ruggedness, determination and wisdom which he said led to what they are witnessing today at NAGAFF.
He went further to describe the experiences they had while trying to birth the association on the 30th of November 1999 as lives were threatened, police actions and legal battles were made, but God saw them through in all.
Enelamah advised the new president to channel his energy towards acquiring new structures for the association and promised the boards complete support to make him and his team succeed.
While delivering his speech, Chief Tochukwu Ezisi thanked the founder and considers it a great honour to be appointed as the 6th National president of NAGAFF.
He described him as his role model and promised to try and fill the big shoes that he has left for others to wear
The National president of ANLCA, Hon. Iju Tony Nwabunike in his goodwill message assured that ANLCA and NAGAFF will work together for the interest of their members.
In his word, “I’m full of joy and happy that im going to work with you for the next one year and six months, we should put our house together and put strategies on how to move the maritime industry forward, they have tried to divide the house because we are not working, but when we come together, which we have already started, i assure you the mantle of leadership and mandate will be accomplished,” Iju emphasized.
He then commended the NAGAFF Compliance Team for their effort to make sure that things are been done well.
In his remarks, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam expressed his happiness and glad that all effort made by agents of destruction against the association for the past 22years failed, stating that he pursue the registration of freight forwarding association in order to avoid conflict.
He cautioned Chief Ezisi on the qualities of a leader in decision taking whether it is right or wrong.
