The Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘B’ Kaduna State, of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Customs Area Controller, Compt. Albashir Hamisu has been honoured with an award of Excellence by the Nigeria Union Of Journalists Kaduna State Council.
Comptroller Hamisu, was selected and considered for his leadership excellence and outstanding achievements, as the award ceremony took place at the NUJ Council Secretariat Kaduna on Saturday 14th May 2022.
Presenting the award to Comptroller Hamisu, the National President of Nigeria Union Of Journalists ( NUJ) Comrade Chris Isiguzo, disclosed that the Kaduna State Council of the Union has identified the contributions and selfless service to humanity by Comptroller Albashir Hamisu, even as he tackles smuggling activities professionally.
The Union said, “With our findings it has proven beyond reasonable doubt, your unique performance in tackling smugglers and their accomplice”, adding that with this feat, for recording tremendous achievements within the last one year which is highly commendable, “We however used this opportunity to ensure that, by contributing to the Federal Government purse, we find it imperative to honour an icon.
According to the NUJ president, the award was bestowed on the Comptroller based on his recognition and contributions for the selfless service to humanity in Nigeria Customs Service.
Comptroller Hamisu, who was represented by an Assistant Comptroller, AC Baba Damboama, appreciated the efforts of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Kaduna State Council for recognising Comptroller Albashir Hamisu as an Epitome of National development.
He added that, with the award of excellence, Comptroller Hamisu and his officers will continue to deliver their service effectively in line with the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd) and his management policy, he assured.
