Following the directives of the Comptroller General of Customs, CGC, Hameed Ali, Comptroller AA UMAR, has taken over leadership from DC Eneche OCHIBA as the substantive Customs Area Controller (CAC) of Nigeria Customs Service, Western Marine Command (WMC), on 21 February 2022.
During a brief handing and taking over at the WMC Headquarters Ibafon-Apapa, Lagos, the outgoing Ag. CAC, DC Ochiba, welcomed and congratulated the substantive Area Controller for his posting.
He appreciated the Officers and Men of the command for their unwavering support and cooperation throughout his tenure and urged all to accord maximum support and cooperation to the new Area Controller.
In his remarks, the newly redeployed, CAC, Comptroller AA UMAR fsi urged the officers and Men of the command to rededicate themselves to their statutory responsibilities.
He however charged them to be disciplined and work hard according to the codes, procedures, departmental instructions and laws as enshrine in the Customs and Excise Management Act Cap C45 2004 as amended.
According to a statement issued and signed by the Command Public Relations Officer, ASC 1 Isah Sulaiman stated that, Compt.AA UMAR fsi was among the Comptrollers who were recently redeployed on the 8 February 2022 by the Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd).
Until his appointment, Comptroller AA UMAR fsi was chargedptroller Discipline at the Customs Headquarters, Abuja.
