The Powerful Pen Media Chapel, a scion of Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (MAJAN) will on Thursday 14th January set the tone for the year as industry issues relating to the worrisome Apapa gridlock to be  discussed by eminent stakeholders.

The event is slated for OCs Place, Randle Road, Apapa where vital issues affecting the sector will be thrashed by industry experts including examining current policy positions by the government and how they affect the nation.

According to the president of MAJAN, Mr. Ray Ugochukwu, eminent persons have been invited to speak on the theme of the Special Congress which is “Apapa traffic & Skyrocketing inflation in the country: Effects on Port Operations and the Maritime Industry”.

He noted that this was MAJAN’s own contribution to finding creative ways to proffer solutions to the gridlock that has defied solution for many years.

Mr. Ray  Ugochukwu enjoined all Guest Speakers and invitees to be present by 12pm for the commencement of the programme, noting that MAJAN was known for setting the agenda to move the industry forward.

Reacting to the statement released by MAJAN, the former president of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Chief Eugene Nweke applauded the Association for taking this visionary step to assist government in finding lasting solutions to the menace of Apapa gridlock.

The Powerful Pen Media Chapel is an affiliate of NUJ, Lagos State Chapter.

MAJAN  also publishes the Powerful Pen Newspaper in conjunction with other online platforms.
